Hand Dyed Square Scarves
Elegant 100% Mulberry Silk long scarf individually hand dyed and crafted by cottage industries in Kashmir. Our square scarves measure some 100cm x 100cm. This stylish scarf represents a modern twist to traditional Kashmir craftsmanship.
Mulberry Silk is the finest and most expensive silk available. It is softer, rounder, finer and smoother than raw silk harvested from the wild. The tiny natural irregularities in the spun yarn add interest and character to the scarf. Our mulberry silk scarves have a smooth, silky, luxurious feel and also have the benefit of being hypoallergenic. These Mulberry Hand Dyed Silk Scarves are made exclusively for Pashmina & Silk. You will not find them under any other brand. They are spun and woven by artisan workers on hand looms and hand dyed using traditional Kashmiri colours. This classic accessory complements all formal or casual wear and its simple design and natural look makes it a very versatile accessory.
Our designs are differentiated by the weight of the silk used. ."Momme” (mm) is a measure of the weight of silk fabric using the scale 1 momme to 3.75 grams per square meter. In comparison “Traditional “ silk scarves typically use silk between 6 and 10 momme, our “Classic” scarves between 8 and 25 momme, and our “Heritage” scarves above 25 momme. .
